A three-day ISO 9001: 2008 training on Internal Quality Audit was held last December 10-12, 2014 at the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology (WVCST) New Board Room.
The training was attended by 33 current and would-be Internal Auditors of the WVCST main and external campuses. It was also attended by the college-OIC president, key officials and the participants from Negros Maritime Foundation Inc.
The aims of the training were to provide knowledge on pre-audit preparation requirements, how to conduct an audit, how to review responses given by the auditees, and conducting follow-ups and the verification of effectiveness of the action.
Mr. Kevin T. Castillon, one of the few approved tutors of the lead auditor training course for the ISO 9001:2008, served as the resource speaker of the three-day training.
This training was hosted by the Office of the Quality and Assurance Center, headed by Dr. Renelda P. Nacianceno.
