The participants of the 5 day Regional training for Grade 9 Math Teachers which concluded on Friday, May 23, 2014 gave WVCST an outstanding rating as a service provider.

True to what DepEd Regional Director Dr. Corazon Brown said, the training was short but the participants appreciated much what they learned from their trainers. A demonstration class was conducted before the closing ceremony by the class J using a kite as an example in solving mathematical problems to prove that K to 12 curriculum is not about contents but is about pedagogy.

During the closing program, participants expressed how much they appreciated the trainers who unselfishly shared their knowledge and ideas and gave an outstanding rating to the service provided by the WVCST despite some small problems they encountered. They felt happy according to them that the facilitators and the members of the secretariat committee were always there to help them with their needs and to answer their queries.

On behalf of the WVCST, Dr. Carmelo V. Ambut, OIC to the Office of the President,  conveyed that as a service provider, the College welcomes both positive and negative impressions because they are always taken professionally not personally in order to improve the  service quality that the school offers. He added that he is looking forward to another K to 12 training because such activity is not just for the good of the teachers but most of all for the country. Dr. Ambut also reminded them to continue giving quality education and to love their students.

Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez, Jr., OIC VP for Academic Affairs and WVCST Campus Administrator, however, challenged the Grade 9 teachers to use what they have learned from the training and to pass it on to their students by giving quality education. The new generation of students spend more time in front of computers, want more excitements but impatient. He said that the challenge is for them to go with their pace and that is what K to 12 is about. He also emphasized that teachers of the K to 12 program are the most important contributors in touching the hearts and minds of the students who will become versatile and productive Filipinos that will make a better society.

Accepting this challenge, the teachers assured that with the week-long training they are now ready to teach as the 21st century Grade 9 teachers.
