Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) Dr. Nehema K. Misola attended the first International Conference on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) on October 3-4, 2016 at Islamabad, Pakistan.
The conference was held to develop and create reforms in the TVET system through exchange of best practices, experiences, and knowledge within the international and regional context for developing a better system in Pakistan. It also aimed to develop Pakistan’s National Skills Strategy program. The conference was attended by international TVET experts, leaders, senior executives, and delegates within the TVET sector from 15 countries including Australia, Belarus, China, Germany, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
Dr. Misola was the only visiting delegate from the Philippines. She is currently the UNESCO International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (UNEVOC) Coordinator for the Philippines in the Visayas. She shared ISAT U’s best practice of maximizing the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching and the UNEVOC Philippines Biennial Plan.
