A Work Attitude and Values Enhancement (WAVE) seminar-workshop spearheaded by the Human Resource Department (HRD) of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology (WVCST) was conducted last February 20, 2015.
Participated in by 64 casual and permanent employees of the college, the seminar-workshop was conducted to equip employees with wholesome work attitude and values necessary for the overall transformation of the organization.
During the activity, the participants reflected on their work ethics and attitudes through various activities such as drawing things that symbolize them and writing the values most important to them.
In his speech, Dr. Carmelo V. Ambut, Vice President for Research and Extension (VPRE), emphasized the concepts of values and attitudes and the importance of enjoying one’s work.
Ways on cultivating a positive work attitude were also presented to promote a good working environment that will increase productivity.
Employees should make it an opportunity to tell each other that they are happy working together, said by Dr. Nehema K. Misola, Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF), in her message.
Resource speakers were Nuncie Pampliega, Bingbing S. Layao, and Ma. Victoria G. Mabilog.
